The Vintage NASCAR Tuck Series snuck into North Carolina Speedway. Built in 1965, the track was unique. It wasn't always fun, but it was unique. Jim Essar had a good run going but could not keep up with Mike Spinelli late who went on to notch the season opener. Mike Miller finished third. "I use to hate this track with N1-3, but hated to see it go away with N2003. I figured it out a bit too late. LOL"

The IDRS ran the World 100 where the results were the same, but the racing was a heck of a lot closer. Spin picked up a lot of speed with the setup Bob shared, but was a hair behind at the line. In what might be the closest finish in the IDRS (especially for a 100 lapper) Bob squeaks out the win. Mike Miller cruised to third. On the win Bob said "Sad that the ai cars were like 20 mph slower. The ai cars did a lot of wrecking up high, stuck to the bottom and hauled the mail".

The Short Trackers were in Martinsville for the first race under Martinsville's new lights. It was another close race to the end, with Spin edging MM for the win. "It was great to run under the lights here, it just feels like short track racing. Wish we had more cars, but it was still a blast. Especially since I beat Miller!!!"

This week the vintage trucks are in Nazareth Speedway, another old favorite that is gone too soon. And the outlaw late models are in Sandusky, Ohio for the 30th running of the Main Event.

Have fun!!!
